Holiday Food

Nothing says Independence Day like the smell of charcoal drifting through the backyards and over decks. This weekend, some Minnesota classics will be served:

  • Juicy burgers & brats loaded with local cheese (hello, sweet pickle relish and mustard)
  • Grilled sweet corn slathered in butter—picked up from a stand,
  • Wild rice salad tossed with cranberries, pecans, and a bright citrus vinaigrette (our nod to heritage)
  • Watermelon wedges and berry shortcake using those perfect MN strawberries and blueberries
  • Apple pie still warm, with a scoop of vanilla—because some traditions are non-negotiable

Lots of folks will be heading to a lakeside cabin and these flavors remind us why we gather: freedom, good company, and full plates.
